ABC. "Baby". /ABC/. This band is the real beginner. It was created in the spring 2009. Theyve held the first concert at motion theatre on 11th of July 2009 and today, theyve already earned the sympathy of listeners from the stage of Sports Palace. It sounds good for beginners, does not it? The band consists of 5 members, 4 boys and a girl: Rhythm Guitar, Vocal Goga Kartsava, Vocal Teo Tsiklauri, Guitar Vova Grigoriants, Bass Iva Kalandia, Drummer Gio Gorgiashvili. They perform their own compositions in the style of Funk. You can guess easily that their favorite performers have the same style and they are Breakestra, New Cool Collective, Dennis Rollins, The Commodores, Buddy Hank Band, Maceo Parker, The Haggies Horns. - Such project probably was never held in Tbilisi. For us, as for the beginner band, it was a real big experience and a step forward. We welcome such projects and hope that this type of festivals will be continued. As for our performance, we are content, settled with positive emotions and would be glad if we participate in similar competitions again Iva Kalandia, member of the band mentioned in the talk with us. Mirror Illusion. "Rape Me". /Nirvana/. Absolutely different band because of the members: Mirror Illusion was created on October5th, 2008. There are only girls in the band: Sopho Mariamidze, Ani kasareli and Ana Matiashvili. Newly formed band does not have strictly determined style yet, their music is Alternative and Grunge. Their favorite bands are: In flames, The doors, Nebo SSSR, Nirvana, Muse. Girls plan to make their music popular and become part of the international world music. In November 2008, Mirror Illusion performed on Punk Fest. Ana Matiashvili commented about the concert: Tbilisi Alter/Vision/newcomers: We are satisfied with the concert and with our performance. We liked how the concert was organized and we will be happy if the concerts will be annual. These kinds of lives are very important for Georgian bands. Vitamin. "შორს". /Vitamin/. The band Vitamin consists of two boys: David Gabunia- vocal and guitar; Tornike Gelashvili key board, MIDI loops, Sound FX. . In the nearest future the band plans to have a new member on the electro drum. Theyve been playing together since 1998, though gave name to their band only in 2004 . Their music is a mix of: Alternative, Indi and Electro. They appeared on the stage in 1999 at the club UR for the first time. Vitamins favorite band is Radiohead. The band plans to release a single called Muse and make a video on it. They are also going to release an album, consisting of two cds. There will be old acoustic songs and compositions from the new electro program as well. Everything was organized very well. At the shooting banner, I felt myself as an European star. I think that in several years the festival will become one of the most popular in East Europe, says Dato Gabunia. Defenders of Tanelorn. "Endless fall". /Defenders of Tanelorn/. The band Defenders of Tanelorn was created on 7th of January 2001, but from the initial members only 2 are left in the band for now. There are total 6 members in Defenders of Tanelorn Revaz Dekanozishvili (Guitar), Giorgi Eradze (Guitar), Roman Kasumov (Bass), Giorgi Sarkisov (Keyboard), Vadim Kurochkin (Drums) and Mikheil Chikviladze (Vocal). The band first performed in front of audience in 2002. On the question what are the future plans and goals of Defenders of Tanelorn band replied: - Goals? Being popular, probably, much money, cars and girls. Joking, we love our job and try to appear on world arena and show to the people, that there are many talented musicians, bands etc in Georgia. Each member of the band as a separate subject has different opinion about favorite performer and each of them listens to different style of music. Though, from the diverse style that the band performs Defenders of Tanelorn themselves, point out Melodic Death / Symphonic Black Metals, the sound of it is most frequent in their compositions. - First of all, I would like to note that the concert organization was high qualified, that was very pleasant for me. I think our performance was good the only disadvantage was that all the instruments did not sound on the stage well. The Forest. "Magic Mushrooms". /The Forest/. Band The Forest was formed in 2007 and in the same year theyve held their first concert. There are 4 members in The Forest: Karlo Tomadze, Vazha Tabatadze, Vocal Tazo Liparteliani, Manana Kokhreidze. Their music style is a mix of: Techno, Electronic, Experimental. Their favorite musicians are: Portishead, Radiohead, Massive Attack, Prodigy. The Forest aims to present a new album to their listeners. Karlo Tomadze shared an impressions about the concert: Tbilisi Alter/ Vision\newcomers: The impressions are quite positive. Everything was organized well. As for our performance, for now I can say that it was okay. I will be able to estimate our performance more objectively after watching the video of the concert.
