Lawmakers in both houses of Congress were sworn in Tuesday (January 6th) amid controversy over two seats in the Senate. Roland Burris, appointed to the Illinois seat vacated by President-Elect Barack Obama, was turned away. And although a Senate seat from the state of Minnesota went to the Democratic candidate in a recount, the Republican incumbent vowed a court fight.
