Afternoons, after siesta, we enjoy spending a few hours at the beach. We keep calling it a "free beach" - probably showing our Vacation Roots, on the northern gulf coast, Texas. What we mean is Public Beach - where everybody in Tecolutla goes. There's everything in the world there, from fruit and coconut treats to fresh oysters and cooked fish thingys to snow cones to pina coladas margaritas shrimp seafood cocktails. After a morning of liberating sea turtle hatchlings, a big breakfast a nice siesta with a good book - hitting the beach for the hours before dusk dinner is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
