"OMIGOSH! MICHAEL! KRAMER! EMILY!" I said, running towards my three older siblings. I gave them all huge hugs; I hadn't seen any of them in about a month. "What are you doing here?" "Well, watching your first game of course! You played great lil sis." Kramer said. But I could tell something was wrong with all three of them. "You heard about dad, didn't you..." I asked, feeling my sad mood returning. Then Nick walked up to my side. "Well, don't think about that Jamie.. you just had a great game, let's just enjoy tonight. Dad will be fine; Mom told me his condition is getting better. Let's go out to eat to celebrate." Michael said. I saw all three of their eyebrows rise as I wrapped my arms around Nick's waste. Oh crap, they didnt' know we were dating. This was going to be fun. "Well.. actually we were going to Nick's for dinner. Uh, guys... this is Nick Jonas. We're kind of... dating." I said, waiting for the big brother anger. But it never came. The guys stuck out their hands, and Nick shook both. "I'm Michael.." "I'm Kramer.." They both said, still a little bit of shock, well hidden from anyone who doesn't know how to look for it, on both of their faces. "And I'm Nick..." Nick said. Well, this was awkward. "I'm Emily!" She said, huge smile on her face. Ahh Emily, she makes everything better. "So, are we going to eat or what?" I just looked at Nick.. and then I realized Joe was still behind us two. What was wrong with him? I just turned back to the dilemma at hand. "Well, I could see if my mom has enough for all of us." Nick suggested in my ear. "Nick! That's inviting like, three extra people. Four counting me. That's too much to ask your mom. But.. I would feel bad.." I trailed off, looking to my siblings. He put his finger to my lips. "Jamie, seriously. I think she'll be fine. She loves cooking. And i'm pretty sure she was making a big dish." "Well, just call and ask her.." Nick walked away to get on the phone, so I resumed talking to my siblings. "So..." I said. "So... he seems nice." Michael said. "Guys, please be nice.. I really like him okay?" My brothers looked at each other and then back to me innocently. "Who? Us be mean?" Kramer jumped in. "Never." "Well. I'm warning you. There's going to be a serious beat down at home if you don't." "Okay, okay. Calm down Miss Drama Queen. We'll be good." "Oh, you guys. This is Joe, Nick's brother.. obviously.." "Hey man, Sup." my brothers both said. Emily just smiled. We were both huge JB fans. She wasn't half as obsessed as I was.. but she had gone to my first and only concert with me and it was always our night to remember. We were planning on going front row next summer, and hoping to meet them.. but.. I guess that had already happened, huh? "And, this is my sister Emily." I said, smiling at her. We both knew what the other was thinking. I definitely knew what she was thinking... Where's Kevin? I couldn't help but smile even bigger at that thought. By now, Nick was headed back over to talk to us. "My mom said it would be fine, if you guys want to eat with us.. She has plenty, and she'd be excited to meet your family." "As long as they're not intruding..." I said. "Yeah, man. It's cool if there's not enough. We can catch up with you at home." Kramer said. "No dude She said there's plenty. And she really wants to meet yall." "Well, I guess I'l ride with them to give them directions." I said. "But I want to be with you.." Nick whispered to me. "Emily, you want to ride with Joe? Keep him company? I gotta tell the losers here how to get to the house. " I said, turning to my sister. "Sure, as long as he doesn't care." "Sounds great." Joe said, and I could tell he was already in a better mood. But I figured him and Emily were going to become bestfriends, nothing more...
