Usher 2008 Look Back RB Sensation Ushers in a New Sound The new album, titled "Here I Stand" is a follow-up to the history-making, nine-time platinum-selling "Confessions," which was released in 2004. The first single, "Love In This Club" featuring Young Jeezy, is currently number four on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and has remained in the Top five for nine consecutive weeks. The Tennessee-born and Atlanta raised Grammy-award winning artist offers a more intimate and personal look at his life on his new album. The album features collaborations with fellow RB singers Ne-Yo, Timbaland, Ludacris Nelly, Jay-Z and Will.i.am, among others. The recently released remix of his first single "Love In This Club" features Beyonce and Lil Wayne. Talent/Guest: Usher/RB Artist Usher Raymond IV began singing at age six when his mother convinced him to join the church choir for which she acted as director. His debut album was released in 1994, when he was only 14. To date, he has sold close to 26 million albums worldwide. His 2004 album, "Confessions," sold over 1.1 million copies in its first week - the highest first-week total ever for an RB album. The album spawned four number one hit singles and Usher spent 40 weeks in the number one position on The Billboard Hot 100 - more than any other male artist in the nearly 50-year history of the chart. Worldwide, the multi-talented, five-time Grammy-winner, musician and actor has sold nearly 14 million copies of "Confessions" and it earned a multitude of honors - including MTV, BET, and People's Choice awards.
