Exploring the U-869 Appearing during the first hour, professional diver Richie Kohler talked about his role in exploring the U-869, a previously undiscovered sunken German WWII U-Boat. He detailed some of the harrowing difficulties faced while researching the downed ship. Such treacherous conditions included a mere twenty minute window of opportunity for exploring the inside of the vessel, while also maneuvering around the many bodies of deceased German sailors. "Quite literally, history is waiting for us off our beaches ... and scuba is a way to visit that history and, in some ways, correct it," he mused. Recap World Changing Ideas Author and venture capitalist Guy Kawasaki discussed world changing ideas, how they are born and why some succeed and others fail. At the root of a great idea, he said, "it has to enable you to do things you've always wanted to do. Or, even better, it should enable you to do things that you did not know you wanted to do." Kawasaki explained the origins for many revolutionary ideas, saying that they begin by asking "wouldn't it be neat if?" While this may sound like a simple genesis, he emphasized that following through with the concept is critical to any idea's success. "Many people ask the question ... but not that many try it," he observed. Based on his prolific career, Kawasaki said that his opinion has changed about the difficulties of actualizing a winning idea. He summed up this change of heart by noting, "I used to think that the idea is the key and, once you get a good idea, implementation is easy, now that I'm at the end of my career, I think the exact opposite." One surprising element to profitable ideas, that Kawasaki cited, was the importance of having a story behind the concept, whether the tale is true or not. To demonstrate this, he recounted the popular story that Ebay was created so the founder's wife could sell Pez dispensers online. "Not too many people know that that is a story they made up after the fact," he revealed, "it had nothing to do with Pez dispensers." Extending the power of storytelling beyond that, he noted that "storytellers are also very good entrepreneurs," because they can inspire others to envision their "what if" scenario. ADOPTED!! Shelter German Shepherd/Akita mix available for adoption at the Animal Shelter of Schoharie Valley; www.assv.petfinder.com; Chris Cagle "What kind of gone" Hi, Im Siren. I am a 2 year old, neutered male, Shepherd/Akita/Boxer mix. I am a really good boy but I sometimes take a little time to get used to new people, the people at the shelter says its a little bit of fearful dominance. I would do best in a home with a more dog experienced owner due to a few of my behavior kinks. For example I like to chase lights; like when the sun shines off of my tags making a glitter on the floor, I just cant take my eye off of it, and if it moves I have to try to catch it. But they say that is not really a good behavior for me mentally, and it can be a little annoying; so I work with the people here on redirecting my attention to something more positive like a toy or just learning to relax and not chase the light. Unfortunately, the my previous home was not so nice to me so I need a nice patient new home who will take the time to understand and work with me. But once I know that you wont hurt me I am playful, affectionate, goofy, and they say I am VERY smart. I already know 'sit', 'shake' (with both paws), and 'down'. I have even been working with my friend who is teaching me how to detect narcotics like police dogs do. I love to play and I really need a home who can take me on a couple walks a day plus a session of fetch or Frisbee (those are my favorite games!). I get along really well with other dogs and even cats, but I think I should go to a home with older kids (12+) because I may not trust them and they dont really seem to understand dogs like me. Well i guess that is pretty much me in a nut shell, if you have any questions email swiffer109@yahoo.com or stop by to see me at the shelter.

Most cats would simply dig into the kibble dish. Serenity carefully selects a kibble, scoops it out of the bowl, and then eats it. (Be glad you don't have to clean up the crumbs she leaves all over the place.)
