The historic launch of the PEAK 2 PEAK gondola is Friday December 12th, but tommorrow, we'll provide a preview look at what the world will see on Friday. The media gets sneak peek at the engineering marvel, destined to be one of Canada's most visited landmarks suspended in the air. In fact, the 24 passenger cars will dangle over a half mile above Fitzsimmon's Creek on the 11 minute 4.4 Kilometer ride. Thursday in this space we'll visit with some of the key players who made the PEAK 2 PEAK reality, and some other inside info. The community voted in 22 lucky residents for the first ride, and others will make a historic ride Friday who bid for the privalege. The opening Ceremonies take place at Whistler, but Giant plasma screens will show the festivites at the loading station on Blackcomb mountain.
