The film features an all-star cast, with Oscar winners Meryl Streep, Alan Arkin, and Reese Witherspoon, as well as Peter Sarsgaard, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Omar Metwally. Supporting roles filled by unfamiliar actors deliver as well, sucking the audience into the plot, and showing how many people can be affected by overseas terror attacks, and our means of investigating them.However, overall, the movie redeems itself by the end, offering the audience a measured look into the complexity of the United States' use of rendition and the possible complications and consequences that may occur through its use.

Hey Guys!!! Since I found out that more than one person actually takes the time to read my fanfics, I decided I would make another one. This means I will have to try to post more, but you guys deserve it! Also, please comment cause if I don't get any comments, I really will delete my account. Anywhooooo...on with the first chapter [= -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Demi is in the tenth grade. She tends to be shy and she likes guys who are really sweet and caring. She always does well in school and she has a crush on Cody and can't stand the jock of the school, Joe Jonas. Her best friend is Selena Gomez. Her mom is Vanessa and her dad is Zac. Joe is in the eleventh grade. He likes every girl he sees and only cares about their looks and how good of a kisser they are. He has a crush on basically every girl. Cody is his best friend and doesn't really act like him, but they met cause they're both on the football team. His parents are Kevin and Ashley. (A/N; I know Kevin is Joe's brother, but just go with it.) Cody is in the eleventh grade and loves football. He does well in school and is really sweet and sensitive. He has a crush on Demi but he would never say anything because she hates jocks, especially his best friend Joe. Selena is in the tenth grade and Demi has been her best friend since kindergarten. She is exactly like Demi, but she's less shy and isn't afraid to stand up for herself. She has a crush on Nick. Nick is Joe's brother and the complete opposite of him. Nick plays baseball and excels in school. He has a crush on Selena but knows it wouldn't work out since Joe hates and Demi and Demi hates Joe. It would make things to complicated. Still, he's one of her best friends and hangs out with the girls as much as he gets to. Now that you know that, on with the story. Demi: *at her locker* Ugh. I can't believe it. This has been the worst day ever. Selena: *laughs* How? It just started. Demi: Well, my alarm clock didn't go off so I had no time to get ready *points to her hair which is up in a messy bun, sweatpants, and tshirt*, my parents had a "meeting" with Ashley and Kevin so I didn't get to eat breakfast and to top it all off, my locker is now jammed. Selena: Well it looks like it's about to get worse. *nods towards someone walking down the hall* Demi: Ugh! Just great! *hits her head on her locker* Joe: Hey baby, don't ruin that gorgeous face of yours. *winks and walks away* Demi: *screams* UGGHHH! I swear I hate my life!!! Nick: *walks up* Hey ladies. How's it going? Selena: *giggles* For me, it's going great. For Demi, she apparently hates her life. Nick: *whispers under his breath* Well when she finds out what our parents are planning she's going to hate it a lot more. Selena: What? Nick: Nothing. So umm...would you guys maybe wanna hang out with me and Cody tomorrow? That is if you can, Demi. Demi: Why wouldn't I be allowed to? Nick: *coughs* Umm...no reason. Selena: *smacks him teasingly* You are so weird. Nick: *scoffs* But you know you love me. *runs away* Selena: *laughs and says to Demi* Sometimes I worry about that kid. Demi: You're not the only one. *laughs* WAIT!!! Selena: What? Demi: Did he say hang out...with him and....CODY? Selena: Yep. *raises her eyebrow* Demi: *squeals* Maybe my life is turning out to be good! Selena: Yeah well we better get to class before you get in trouble and start hating life again. It's not like they would care because they trust Kevin and we do this all the time. I wrapped a blanket around me and sat down on the stairs. "are you ok?" he asked. "I'm fine," "are you sure?" I hesitated. "no, not really." We both were quiet for a long time and the sound that broke out silence was Kevin, shivering. I gave him the blanket and he smiled at me. We both sat on the stairs for a long time. I don't know Kevin was thinking but my mind was wondering off to many things. One of those things would be the kiss Kevin and I had on New Years Day. I looked up at him and saw him leaning on the bars and fast asleep. I laughed a little. "come on Kevin," I pushed him a little. "huh? wait. what?" he jumped up. "you fell asleep." "oh. sorry." "(laughs) it's ok. you should go home," "are you sure you don't need me here?" "yeah." We both sneaked back in the house and I walked him to the door. "so, I'll see you tomorrow?" "yeah. definitely." "ok. great." He put his hands in his jean pockets, smiled at me, and got closer to me. Before I knew it, our lips met. What surprised me more than our kiss was that I kissed back. We broke away after a few seconds. "I'll see you tomorrow," he walked home as I stood in front of my house, not being able to move. He smiled and waved at me when he got to his house. I stand frozen at that position for quite a while. Just before I turn around, I thought I saw someone staring at me through the window so I turned around but the curtains closed all of a sudden. All night, I laid in my bed, trying to think through everything. I looked through my window and saw the lights from Kevin and Joe's rooms were on, too. I sighed and closed my curtains. In the morning, I jumped out of bed and ate my breakfast super fast. I took a quick shower and tried to pick out cute cloths I have. I thought this all through. I know what I'm going to say to Kevin now. I rustled and searched through my closet and nothing really interested me so I just took out jeans and a black long sleeve turtle neck shirt. I ran downstairs and walked over to Kevin's house. Mrs. Jonas opened the door when I knocked. "good morning Mrs. Jonas" "good morning sweetie. Are you doing ok?" "yeah. I'm fine. Why wouldn't I- ohhh... last night. You heard?" "(laughs) it's kinda hard to block out the noise" "I'm so sorry" "it's ok. What matters the most is that you're ok." "thanks" "are you here for Kevin or Joe?" "Kevin." "he's upstairs in his room" I said "thanks" as I ran upstairs. When I got in front of Kevin's room, I heard a soft, somewhat romantic, music coming out of his room. "knock, knock," I said while opening his door. "oh. uh hi." he put his guitar aside and sat straight. "was that you playing?" "uh yeah." "it was really great" "thanks" "I-I have to tell you something," He glanced down, kinda like he was expecting me to say this. "It's about the kiss last night, wasn't it?" "yeah." "I thought about it, too. and, I already what you're going to say." "You do?" I smiled really big smile. "yeah. I feel the same way about it, too" "really?" "yeah. We should just move on and pretend like none of this happened," "exactly! wait, what?" "I was just caught up at the moment. I'm sorry." "it's ok," I'm seriously going to cry soon. "I'll talk to you later" and I walked out the door and bumped into Joe. "I'm sorry," he said, smiling at me, as if nothing happened last night. "it-it was my fault. I'm sorry," my voice was really croaky, I bet. "what's wrong baby?" he said, cupping my face with his hands. "nothing. I gotta go." I rushed down the stairs and didn't even say bye to Mrs. Jonas or Mr. Jonas. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- the beginning of this chapter was suppose to be in Chapter 5 part 2 but then I just thought it wouldn't go with the song so I kinda left it out.
