"Well we gotta go" I smiled, and grabbed Lucy's hand- I hesitated, but I did anyway. Lucy didn't have any objections. I was still carrying Mitchel on my shoulders. "See ya" Lucy said, and we walked off. "What was that for?" I asked, smiling. She looked at me very puzzled. "What?" "How come I didn't have to hide or anything?" I asked. She looked down to the ground and looked at Mitchel, then we connected eyes once more. "Well, my reputation isn't really important. I guess seeing that I can be happy and loved showed me I don't need my rep" She smiled. I smiled in return and pecked her on the cheek. She looked up at me and I saw the blood rushed to her cheeks and she was blushing feriousiously. I smiled even bigger. "So Joe" She said, urging on a conversation. "Why'd you come here?" "Well, my dad's work has made us move constantly. It led us here" I smiled down at her. Mitchel was playing with my hair, all I could do was laugh. But the sad part was that I'm not sure how long we would have to stay here... it's only temporary since my dad's work. But I wouldn't dare tell her that. "Oh really? Well lucky it did" She smiled. I couldn't take my eyes off of her. Her blonde curls bounced as she laughed or walked. They were natural curls too. Her blue eyes shone with the light. It just made me wonder why I never returned to camp. "Did you ever return to camp?" "Yeah. I did once. But then I couldn't stand it. You weren't there, and I felt empty. The memories kept punching me in the face" She confessed with a sigh. Was it really hard for her to live without me? I know it was hard for me at least. She looked at me and read my expression. "Oh, sorry if that kind of weirded you out" She apologized All I could do was smile. "No no no, it's fine. It didn't" I said honestly. She let out a sigh of relief. "Mommy? Daddy? I wanna go on that ride!" Mitchel squealed. We both turned our heads and looked at where Mitchel was pointing at. It was a little ride for toddlers. No parents could get on the ride, so we had to leave Mitchel on the ride alone. "Can you handle being alone?" Lucy asked. Mitchel nodded feriousiously. We both laughed, and walked him to the ride. "Hi, two dollars per child or 4 tickets" We handed him two dollars. The guy looked mysterious. He looked like he hadn't shaved in a week, and he had bags under his eyes. He was fairly skinny though. He looked really suspicious to me, but I didn't really do anything about it. "Go on Mitchel" Lucy smiled. Mitchel smiled and went with the man onto the ride. "Are you sure of the guy?" I whispered when he was gone. We were leaning on the fence and watching Mitchel closley. "Why?" She asked. "He looks kind of familiar... I can't put my finger on it. I might've seen his picture somewhere" I shrugged. We watched Mitchel- I watched more closley- and we waited. The ride soon started to slow down, and it ended. There was a wall that blocked where Mitchel was, so we lost sight of him for a moment. We waited for a moment. No Mitchel. I looked at my watch. 2 minutes passed. Still no Mitchel. *Flashback* I was reading through the newspaper. A headline stood out on the front page. Child Molestor On The Loose. Then the description described the guy, and had a picture of him. *Ended* Him!!! He was the guy in the newspaper!!! "Lucy! He's a child molestor!! He was in the newspaper!" "What?! MITCHEL!!!" She screamed. We ran through the gate and it was empty. There were no kids, no humans near the ride. "He took Mitchel!!!!!!" ========= Uh oh!!!!

CES 2009: Ford shows off future of SYNC, Best Buy partnership

On top of those new SYNC features we've already told you about, Ford showed off what its SYNC system might one day look like with configurable controls and a personal assistant "avatar" named Eva. The concept is meant to provide a more human interface with the vehicle to help drivers be safer and more efficient. Instead of the disembodied voice of KITT, Eva is an animated character on your instrument panel that converses with you in plain English. She's a little creepy, but chalk that up to the Uncanny Valley phenomenon. Ford also says it will be taking SYNC to European markets in 2010 then to Asia Pacific and Australia. Earlier today, Ford Executive VP Mark Fields also told us that his company is working with Best Buy to educate mobile phone customers about SYNC. CEO Alan Mulally (that's him in the red cardigan) went into more detail about the partnership later in his keynote speech at CES. Fields said sales reps in Best Buy's standalone mobile phone stores would educate customers on SYNC's new capabilities when paired with a Bluetooth-enabled smart phone and then point out what phones are compatible with Ford's infotainment system.
